A PONTE A PONTE, grupo de artistas, constitui-se como uma equipa de pessoas criativas, que sem perderem a sua individualidade, se propõem encorajar e promover oportunidades para outros artistas, quaisquer que sejam as vertentes do seu trabalho e os meios que usem para as expressar. Dentro deste panorama o nosso objectvo é proporcionar o desenvolvimento pessoal e criativo de cada um, criando para tal uma base segura de inter-relações e inter-reacções,e a troca de ideias e conceitos, motivando e consolidando as aspirações pessoais, dentro da dinâmica do grupo. Dada a nossa politíca de porta aberta, serão bem vindos ao grupo todos os artistas que trabalhem nas várias áreas artí sticas, e tendo embora o objectivo de manter um elevado padrão de qualidade não serão excluídos todos aqueles que quiserem desenvolver as suas capacidades e níveis de competência. O grupo A PONTE esforçar-se-á por procurar e estabelecer eventos individuais ou coletivos para exibição de trabalhos e/ou performances e por poder proporcionar as condições apropriadas para aqueles com recursos limitados. A nossa website providencia informações sobre as actividades do grupo, bem como um calendário das exposições e eventos. Dispõe também, naturalmente, de informações biográficas sobre os artistas que integram o grupo e exemplares do seu trabalho e dos projectos que desenvolvem. Este site tem ainda o seu próprio blog, convidando à expressão livre, à escrita criativa, à poesia e aos comentários. O grupo está empenhado em expandir este site, que vê como um documento vivo, incluindo-se nele também informação sobre outros eventos culturais e artísticos locais, para o que este está em constante actualização. Visto ser recém formado, presentemente o grupo não recebe qualquer apoio financeiro mas, e tendo em vista os nossos objectivos, estamos apostados em procurar o apoio de mecenas culturais para o que consideramos ser um projecto que trará a Tavira uma mais valia na área do seu desenvolvimento cultural. Com o conhecimento e experiência colectiva dos vários participantes antevemos, como resultado positivo, conseguir vir a dar um expressivo passo nessa direcção. THE BRIDGE A PONTE (the Bridge) Group of artists is a team of creative individuals who are committed to support and encourage and provide opportunities for other artists working with all types of media and encompassing all avenues of cultural and artistic expression. Within that framework we aim to sponsor personal and creative growth by providing a secure base for inter-reaction and interlocking the exchange of ideas and concepts by motivating and consolidating individual aspirations within the group dynamic. Artists working in all aspects of the fine arts are welcome in to our open door policy, and whilst wishing to maintain a high standard will not exclude individuals wanting to further develop their skills and level of competence. The Bridge Group will endeavor to seek and establish venues for individual and group collective to exhibit work and performance based events and provide a suitable working environment for those with limited resources. The website facility provides information on the group?s activities, exhibitions currently running, and detailing forthcoming events, also displayed on the site is a comprehensive biography of the artists, and examples of their work, and work in progress. The site also has its own blog inviting free expression, creative writing, poetry and comment. The group is committed to expand the site which it sees as a live document, to include more cultural and community based activities, promotion of events and exhibitors, and comprehensive updating of its progress. Presently the group receives no funding, being recently formed is the prime reason, but as a very forward thinking and highly motivated unit we are looking to the future, and therefore we intend to seek financial backing for what we believe is a required asset to the well being and cultural health of the Tavira community. With the collective knowledge and experience of the group participants, we anticipate a move in this direction to be one that will transpire into a positive outcome.
